Flashlights

Battery Powered!

You may need to survive on your own after an emergency. Get an Emergency Supply Kit, which includes items like non-perishable food, water, a battery-powered or hand-crank radio, extra flashlights and batteries.

Flashlights and spare batteries. Keep a flashlight beside your bed, at your place of work, and in your car. Do not use matches or candles after an earthquake until you are certain that no gas leaks exist.

Emergency Lighting: When the lights go out, the safest way to provide emergency lighting is with flashlights or battery-powered lanterns. If you must use candles during a power outage, make sure that you use them safely. Keep flashlights with fresh batteries in several places throughout your home and check them for proper operation regularly. Always keep a supply of extra fresh batteries. Consider purchasing a rechargeable flashlight that will always stay charged until ready for use.
